2015 week #2

staying home from church sick is a real downer. instead of being encouraged and ready to start a new week, (aka monday) we went into it a little rough

since a very thoughtful daddy brought home leftover donuts from church,  a definite bright spot was created on this dreary monday morning.

getting ready to go out in the snow in a hodgepodge of winter apparel, sunny laughed and said:
“we all have fat-sy legs!”

i can’t get over the beauty of the snow outside

but judging by the look on cline’s face, either he doesn’t agree or i didn’t bribe him enough to let me snap a few pictures.

baking is all fun and games until there’s not a perfectly fair number of beaters to lick off or bowls to clean out

clint headed to wayumi weekend, the kiddos and i to shipshewana for the gerber get-away

the kiddos were over the top helpful so that we could get out the door as soon as possible

the first night was rather (very) rough – with these two ending up in my bed most of the night – so much for getting cold sleeping by myself!

the gerber family rented the room above the pool, which was very handy since i could look down and do head counts

cline spent most of his time marinating in the “bath tub”

sunny enjoyed the kiddy pool

wren loved the slide, and just watching all the commotion

and hudson got a kick out of scarring me to death that he’d bash his head in on the side of the pool

the tired faces on the trip home
