Family Favorite – Korean BBQ Burger

This sandwich really is the bomb.  In Hudson’s words, “I think this is the best hamburger I’ve ever had!”
Yes, you want to make both the mayo and the korean bbq sauce, and definitely yes, make the kimchi coleslaw.

Then, if you’re really feeling like a Martha Stewart wanna-be, these homemade brioche buns are the icing on the cake.

 

Amy’s ( and the kiddos ) favorite – Cookie Dough Protein Bars

If you can, I’d highly recommend the cashew butter as listed in the recipe; it’s legit.  ( here’s the brand I used ).  I’m allergic to cashew, so made two batches, using pumpkin seed butter for mine …. still good, but the cashew butter was better.  ( I taste tested both, and then itched the rest of the day … not that you wanted to know )

For the protein powder, I’d recommend an unflavored one.  This one from Vital Proteins is great, and carried at Costco.  From a nutritional standpoint, this one from Dr. Axe is a bit superior, but more expensive.

Also, I only used 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, and skipped topping the cookie dough with melted chocolate; a bit easier and healthier.  These are pretty rich, so I’d slice into small squares or roll into cute little balls.
